I was always enticed by the look of Photographers and directors as
Raymond Depardon, Yasujiro Ozu, Robert Bresson, Wim Wenders and
others. Their films consist of scenes of the everyday life and
where the effects are absent...
Nevertheless, it is only in the 90s when I became a Wedding
Photographer. I preferred to shoot Wedding Films instead of Wedding
Photographies while keeping an approach of Photographer. I like
static shots, wide shots. Those who give time to the look, to the
emotion. Which give time to time. I do not like when it’s
"move all the time", the unstable images. A Wedding Film is not a
fiction but a Wedding report. The emotion, the details are the key
of the success of a Wedding film.
All the Wedding Photographers or the Wedding Videographers aspire
to the spontaneity, to the journalistic glance. Nevertheless, in 10
years of report, I have
NEVER met a Wedding
Photographer who did not make pose, who does not ask you to turn to
him, who does not ask you to smile. As if this Wedding Photographer
could not adapt himself to your event.
I would never make you pose, I would not ask you for a smile. If I
make you pose, I
OFFER you the report of your
Wedding Film. There is no emotion to a composed glance, in a posed
attitude.
I like Wedding Films because they represent the
MEMORY of your event. They are
not Wedding Videos, but Wedding films. I also like the construction
